Jacinta Jeffries - Physiotherapist

Jacinta is a Physiotherapist with a unique background in dance and movement. Prior to obtaining her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of South Australia, she completed tertiary dance training at Adelaide College of the Arts and obtained her Honours at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Drawing upon her own injury and pain experiences, her research on lower limb injuries in tertiary dancers sparked a deep passion for understanding human movement, pain presentations and injury prevention.

Jacinta has over 10 years experience as a dance teacher, teaching a wide range of students—from toddlers to seniors—specialising in ballet, contemporary, and stretch/strengthening classes. Her passion for making dance and movement accessible to all, aligns with her physiotherapy practice, where she is committed to creating safe spaces for people express themselves. Jacinta integrates her extensive dance background and understanding of the body into her approach to injury prevention and rehabilitation for all ages.

Outside of work, Jacinta enjoys anything creative, indulging in good food, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

  • Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and hypermobility
